I've often wondered about The Three on Calvary...I know the Romans were efficient and all, like mass production, here we have mass murder, they would line the highways with crosses to solidify their power over those they've conquered.
Why 3? Was Jesus the Centerpiece of the Trinity? Was it further evidence of how He extends Grace?
How applicable to us was His line to the repentant "evildoer"?
"Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise."
What did the evildoer do or say to deserve this? He accepted his fate, defended Jesus to his caustic friend as innocent and simply said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into Your Kingdom!"
The enemy has done so much harm over the millennia (But God always overcomes one's heart), especially in the realm of being moribundly guilty;
JESUS WANTS TO REVERSE THIS IN OUR SPHERES OF INFLUENCE...
The Grace given to His fellow "criminal" is The Grace Jesus calls us to extend to all, to reverse the signature of our adversary.
